Kahramanmaraş to host Turkey Culture Route Festival for the first time

Kahramanmaraş will host the Turkey Culture Route Festival for the first time from September 12 to 20, 2026. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the event marks the 18th stop of the festival series.

The nine-day program will feature various activities including concerts, exhibitions, and children's programs held at the city's historical and cultural sites. Musical performances will include artists such as Murat Boz, Ebru Yaşar, Sefo, and Derya Uluğ at the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Fair Center.

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy emphasized the importance of the festival in showcasing the city's heritage, noting its status as a UNESCO City of Literature. He highlighted that the festival aims to support the city's social and cultural reconstruction following the February 6 earthquakes. The event will also feature a gastronomy program, utilizing 52 designated flavor points to promote the local culinary traditions.
