KAI urges INKA to resolve technical issues with KRL trainsets

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has urged PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) to resolve persistent technical issues with the iE305/CLI-225 KRL trainsets. Despite undergoing recent inspections and maintenance, several trainsets continue to experience malfunctions, leading to service disruptions for Commuter Line passengers.

KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin emphasized that corrective actions must address the root causes of these failures rather than providing temporary fixes. He stressed that the reliability and safety of the fleet are paramount, especially during peak hours when passenger mobility is highest.

As a direct consequence of these technical problems, KAI Commuter reported the cancellation of seven trips on the Bogor–Jakarta Kota route. The disruptions have caused significant inconvenience to commuters. In response, INKA has issued an apology for the inconvenience and stated that they are working closely with KAI Commuter to investigate the technical findings and implement necessary repairs.
