Kaşif Kozinoğlu investigation involves Kurtlar Vadisi screenwriters

The Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has reopened the investigation into the 2011 death of former MİT member Kaşif Kozinoğlu at Silivri Prison. The investigation follows the overturning of a previous decision not to prosecute.

Authorities are examining striking parallels between the death and scenes from the television series 'Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu.' Specifically, investigators noted that a character named 'Kazım Kaşifoğlu' was threatened in a cell in November 2011, shortly before Kozinoğlu's death, and was later depicted being killed by an air injection via a syringe in a December 2011 episode.

As part of the inquiry, screenwriters Raci Şaşmaz, Bahadur Özdener, and Cüneyt Aysan have been summoned to provide statements as witnesses regarding the development of these scenes.

Recent police operations related to the case have led to the arrest of journalist Selahattin Günday and medical technicians Özlem Uslu and Emre Atmaca. Additionally, an exhumation of Kozinoğlu's grave was conducted to collect biological samples for forensic analysis to determine the exact cause of death and identify potential third-party involvement.
