Kalamata: 17-year-old assaulted by former classmate

A 17-year-old boy was violently attacked by a former classmate while walking to school in Kalamata, Greece. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, October 21, was captured on video and subsequently broadcast by MEGA.

Footage shows the assailant chasing the teenager and pinning him down in front of an apartment building. The victim was repeatedly struck with punches and kicks, including to the head, while attempting to protect himself. During the assault, the teenager can be heard crying out for his mother's help.

The victim's mother, who was on the phone with her son when the attack began, rushed out of her home barefoot to intervene. She reported that the assailant had been waiting for the teenager and followed him toward his residence. Following the attack, the mother transported her son to the hospital and filed a formal complaint with the police. She noted that the teenager sustained serious facial injuries, including a suspected bone fracture under the eye.
