Kalamata International Puppet Theatre Festival enters fourth day

The 10th Kalamata International Puppet Theatre Festival is currently underway, having successfully hosted 11 performances, two workshops, and a parade despite challenges posed by weather conditions.

The festival's fourth day features a drawing performance for children aged 4 and older by author and illustrator Leda Varvarousi at the Spiritual Center. This is followed by ‘Nude II’, a poetic performance by Stella Maggana and Vanessa Kurtesi at Stolidi Ena, which explores themes of loss and rebirth through the intersection of puppet theatre and vocal improvisation.

Upcoming scheduled events include children's performances such as ‘A Dragon in My Sock’ by the Karampola team and ‘What Makes Us Human’ by the Marmita team. Other scheduled programs include a musical theatre tribute to women titled ‘Ftou Skorda, Cherchez la Femme’ by the Karampola team.
