Kalamata International Puppet Theatre Festival
Overview
The 10th Kalamata International Puppet Theatre Festival commenced with a series of performances, workshops, and a parade, despite facing challenges from weather conditions. Early programming included drawing performances for children and poetic works such as ‘Nude II’, which explored themes of loss and rebirth.
As the festival reached its conclusion, the schedule featured international contributions from groups such as Spain’s Rekupolis and Peppa’s Puppets. Final events included ‘The Boy with the Magic Fingers’, a performance by UNIMA Hellas titled ‘The Giant Tiger in the Steps of the City’, and a concluding concert at Railway Park.
