Kalamata Police Arrest 27-Year-Old in Controlled Cannabis Delivery

On August 5, 2026, officers from the Drug Enforcement Department of the Kalamata Police, under the Organized Crime Division, carried out a controlled‑delivery operation after tracing a courier‑warehouse parcel in Attica that contained 475 grams of raw cannabis. The 27‑year‑old local resident was arrested in the community of Western Mani at the moment he received the package.

Subsequent searches of his vehicle, home and personal effects uncovered small quantities of cannabis, two weighing scales, a mobile phone and €650, which police say originated from drug‑trafficking activities. The suspect will be presented before the appropriate courts, while the investigation remains with the Kalamata Drug Enforcement Unit.
