Kalamata Police Drug Unit Dismantles 4,670‑Plant Cannabis Operation

The Drug Enforcement Department of Kalamata police, together with other regional forces, investigated and broke up a criminal organization that had cultivated roughly 4,670 cannabis plants. The operation resulted in the arrest of three suspects in the village of Kallidromo, Phthiotis, about 350 km from Kalamata.

The Union of Police Officers of Messinia publicly praised the team’s professionalism, noting the achievement despite chronic understaffing. The union called for permanent reinforcement of the Kalamata drug unit and highlighted the contributions of the organized‑crime units of Kalamata and other authorities.
