Kalavryta to host mental health mobile unit and preventive medical exams
The Mental Health Mobile Unit of the Agios Andreas General Hospital of Patras will visit Kalavryta Hospital on Tuesday, September 8. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Municipality of Kalavryta and the Kalavryta General Hospital-Health Center.
The mobile unit provides free services to adult patients with mental illnesses and their families. Key services include the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, continuous monitoring to manage conditions and prevent relapses, and home care for patients with mobility issues. The unit also offers counseling and support to families.
Simultaneously, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) is conducting a program of free preventive medical examinations in various villages within the Municipality of Kalavryta. This program, implemented by the Ministry of Health in cooperation with local authorities, targets residents in areas with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants. The examinations are available to all adults regardless of age or gender. The September schedule includes visits to Vlasia on September 9, Filia on September 16, Planeteiro on September 23, and Kastria on September 30.
