Kalshi expands market access by pitching shared order book to brokers

Kalshi is actively recruiting brokerages to provide their customers with access to its shared event-contract order book. By connecting through an API, brokers can allow their clients to trade alongside Kalshi’s direct and institutional participants, enhancing market liquidity.

Andy Ross, Kalshi’s Head of Institutional, noted that the shared order book allows orders from various brokerage platforms to interact within the same market. This arrangement enables firms to offer event contracts—which allow users to trade on the outcomes of specific events—without the need to build their own proprietary trading venues.

Apex Fintech Solutions provides the API integration that facilitates this connection, handling account management, custody, and money movement while brokers maintain their customer relationships. tastytrade was the first firm to go live with this connection on July 27. Currently, firms trading on or preparing to join Kalshi manage more than $1 trillion in combined assets.
