Kamb Mayor Birame Ba joins Kiiraay presidential party

Birame Ba, the mayor of Kamb in the Linguère department, has officially joined the presidential party Kiiraay – Les Patriotes Républicains. The announcement was made during a rally on Saturday, August 15, 2026, where Ba encouraged his supporters to follow suit.

Ba’s decision follows a meeting with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, an audience facilitated by the mayor of Dahra Djoloff, Samba Ndiobène Ka. During this meeting, Ba presented several developmental requests for the Kamb commune, including the revitalization of dead valleys in the Pré-Ferlo region, improved access to water, infrastructure to end local isolation, the expansion of the electrical grid, and the regular monthly payment of village chiefs.

Additionally, Ba expressed support for Samba Ndiobène Ka, calling for his appointment to the government on behalf of Kiiraay. This move follows a trend in the Linguère department, where 14 of the 19 mayors had previously joined the presidential party in July.
