Kandinsky exhibition opens at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome
A major monographic exhibition dedicated to the abstract master Vassily Kandinsky has opened at Palazzo Bonaparte in Rome. Running from September 15, 2026, to February 14, 2027, the showcase features over 70 masterpieces.
Most of the works are on loan from the Centre Pompidou in Paris, which is providing the pieces due to the temporary closure of its own venue for restoration work. The exhibition is curated by Angela Lampe, conservator of modern collections at the Musée National d’Art Moderne, with scientific and editorial consultancy from Francesca Villanti.
Visitors are advised to check specific operating hours, as Palazzo Bonaparte maintains different schedules for weekdays and weekends. Weekday hours are 9:00 to 19:30, while Friday through Sunday the venue remains open until 21:00. Pre-purchasing tickets is strongly recommended to avoid queues at the ticket office.
