Kangana Ranaut seeks Delhi High Court protection for personality rights

Actor and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut has approached the Delhi High Court seeking legal protection for her personality and publicity rights. The plea seeks to prevent the unauthorised commercial exploitation of her name, image, likeness, and other distinctive attributes associated with her persona.

Justice Vikas Mahajan is scheduled to hear the matter. The case follows a trend in Indian courts where high-profile figures, including Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rajinikanth, and various singers, have successfully sought injunctions against the misuse of their identities for commercial purposes without consent.
