Kano demolition wall collapse rescued worker alive

During a demolition of a residential building in Kofar Mata Zango, Kano Municipal Local Government Area, a fencing wall collapsed, trapping worker Sadiq Ahmad. The Kano State Fire Service received an emergency call at 8:49 a.m. and dispatched firefighters who pulled the worker out alive. He was taken to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital and handed over to his brother, Naziru Ahmad, for treatment.

The fire service has opened an investigation into the cause of the collapse and urged residents, contractors and construction workers to observe safety measures during demolition and building projects to prevent similar accidents.
