Kevin Gausman leads Chicago Cubs to victory in debut against Royals

In his debut for the Chicago Cubs, pitcher Kevin Gausman led the team to a 6-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays, Gausman pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits with four strikeouts. Despite a first-inning scare where a line drive struck his ankle, Gausman maintained composure, eventually retiring 12 of 13 batters in a dominant stretch.
