Kaohsiung opens applications for 43 Kaixuan Qingshu social housing units, rent from NT$3,590
The Kaohsiung City Housing and Urban Development Center announced that applications for 43 vacant units in the Kaixuan Qingshu social housing project will be accepted from August 10 to August 31. The offering includes 27 one‑room units, 12 two‑room units and 4 three‑room units. Rent is tiered by household income, with the lowest one‑room price starting at NT$3,590 per month, all amounts including management fees.
Eligibility requires applicants to be at least 18 years old, have household registration in Kaohsiung or be studying or working in the city, own no other residence in Kaohsiung, and have an average per‑person household income not exceeding NT$59,395 per month. Qualified applicants will be entered into a lottery on November 4, with viewings and unit selection scheduled later that month, signing of contracts in December, and move‑in beginning December 21. Tenancy officially starts on January 1, 2024.
The Kaixuan Qingshu complex is located in Lingya District, within ten minutes of Kaohsiung Medical University, Kaohsiung Normal University and Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, and close to the Taiwan Railway National line, light rail and the underground railway greenway. The building features universal design, green‑building silver certification and smart‑building silver certification, a childcare centre, and a large supermarket on the ground floor.
