Local festivals and handicraft events held in Karabiga and Kütahya

Various local cultural and community events have taken place across different regions in Turkey.

In Karabiga, the Karabiga Summer Festival commenced at the Karabiga Municipality Camp and Caravan Area. The three-day event, running from August 21 to 23, features musical performances by artists such as Aydilge and Retrobüs, alongside DJ sets and archery demonstrations. A highlight of the opening was the inauguration of an enduro motorcycle track dedicated to the memory of Emre Merdin, an enduro enthusiast who passed away in a motorcycle accident in 2021. Local officials, including AK Party Çanakkale Deputy Ayhan Gider and Karabiga Mayor Ahmet Elbi, emphasized the importance of social activities for local communities.

In Kütahya, the Frigg Women's Production and Business Cooperative hosted a “Women's Handcrafted Products” event. The initiative aimed to support female producers by providing a platform to showcase and sell handmade goods, including ceramics, embroidery, jewelry, and candles. The event allowed women to strengthen solidarity and connect with new business opportunities through the exhibition of traditional crafts combined with modern designs.
