Karabük entrepreneur establishes 33 million lira milk production facility

Yusuf Gökçe, a former freelancer from Istanbul, has established a modern milk production facility in Hacıağaç village, Eflani district of Karabük, following a decade of settling in the region. The project, which cost approximately 33 million lira, received an 18.2 million lira grant through the TKDK IPARD Program.

The facility is built to meet European Union standards regarding animal welfare, food hygiene, and environmental health. Spanning 9 decares, the modern operation includes a barn, manure storage, a milking unit, a machine garage, and a feed warehouse.

Operations have commenced with 70 pregnant Simental cattle, a breed chosen for its cold resistance and dual efficiency in both meat and milk production. The facility has an annual milk production capacity of 430 tons and aims to provide breeding calves to the local region.
