Karabük officials prepare for 2026-2027 academic year

Karabük Governor Oktay Çağatay led a meeting to coordinate preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year, focusing on student safety, hygiene, and security.

To improve school environments, the province plans to deploy 377 cleaning staff and 149 garden staff under the Community Benefit Program (TYP). These measures aim to enhance classroom and outdoor hygiene to protect student health.

Security efforts will be conducted under the ‘Education and Security Project,’ a joint initiative by the Ministry of National Education’s Inspection Board and the Ministry of Interior’s Internal Security Strategies Department. The project focuses on protecting students from crime, violence, neglect, abuse, and substance abuse. Officials emphasized the importance of inter-institutional cooperation to identify and mitigate risks in and around school premises.
