Karachi police arrest two suspects for smuggling drugs in modified footwear

Police in Karachi’s Gadap area have arrested two suspects, identified as Saqib and Kamran, for allegedly transporting narcotics concealed within specially modified footwear. According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Dr Abdul Khaliq Pirzada, the individuals were traveling from Hub Chowki in Balochistan to Karachi when they were intercepted.

Officers discovered approximately two kilograms of hashish hidden inside secret compartments within the suspects’ slippers. Investigations suggest a cobbler may have been involved in preparing the modified footwear to facilitate smuggling. Authorities also noted that the group reportedly used coded language, specifically the phrase ‘Haal Hawal’, to coordinate drug deliveries.
