Karan Johar to launch new celebrity chat show after Koffee with Karan finale

Filmmaker Karan Johar is reportedly developing a new celebrity chat show following the conclusion of the ninth season of ‘Koffee with Karan’. The move is intended to allow his production banner to own the rights to an original format rather than continuing with an established property.

Johar’s decision to end the long-running series is also attributed to a desire to focus more on filmmaking. While specific details regarding the new show’s format, platform, or launch timeline have not been disclosed, industry observers suggest it may follow a trend of debuting on YouTube before transitioning to streaming services.

In recent promotional material, Johar confirmed that the upcoming ninth season will be the final one. He also addressed guest list expectations, noting that cricketers would not be invited for the final season to avoid controversy.
