Karatay Municipality Hosts 10th Straight Flat Bicycle Race in Konya

The Karatay Municipality organized the 10th edition of its annual flat bicycle race in Konya, Turkey. The 1.4‑kilometre course ran between the Karatay Accessible Life Park and the Karatay Active Living Centre for people with disabilities, attracting hundreds of children and youths aged 6‑14 to compete in separate boys and girls categories.

Participants vied for medals and cash prizes, while families and local residents watched the event. Safety measures included traffic control, police, municipal officers, referees and health personnel. Karatay Kaymakam Cengiz Ayhan, Mayor Hasan Kılca, and other local officials attended the ceremony and highlighted the race’s aim of encouraging sport and healthy living among youngsters.
