Ministry of Home Affairs honors Java-Bali local governments

The Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs held the 2026 Batch II Regional Achievement Awards for the Java-Bali region in Bali. The ceremony aimed to encourage local governments to improve performance and innovation in essential public services.

Key award categories included the Implementation of the 3 Million Houses Program, health service quality, education access, and waste management. In the housing category, Banten and Kuningan were recognized, with Banten receiving assistance for 250 home renovation units. Kuningan received Rp5 billion in support for 250 housing units.

Other notable recipients included Sidoarjo, which earned a Rp1.5 billion fiscal incentive for excellence in waste management and environmental cleanliness. Additionally, the Karawang Regency received the 2026 Regional Leader Award for its public service innovations, such as the 'Karawang Cerdas' education program and the Public Service Mall (MPP).
