Kareena Kapoor Khan and team promote crime thriller Daayra

The cast and crew of the upcoming film ‘Daayra’ attended the ‘Sach Ka Daayra’ song launch in Mumbai. The event featured veteran lyricist Gulzar, director Meghna Gulzar, and lead actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Kareena Kapoor Khan described the project as a ‘full-circle’ moment, noting that her mother-in-law, Sharmila Tagore, had previously worked with Gulzar. Kapoor Khan also praised Meghna Gulzar’s ability to create a distinctive atmosphere that immerses audiences in a specific cinematic world.

Inspired by true events, ‘Daayra’ is a crime thriller centered on two senior police officers, played by Kapoor Khan and Sukumaran, who navigate the complexities of juvenile crime and justice. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on September 18, 2026.
