As of the fifth day, the film’s total India gross collection reached ₹6.6 crore, with a net collection of roughly ₹5.5 crore and worldwide gross earnings of ₹8.55 crore.

Critical reception has been mixed. While some criticized the screenplay, director Anjali Menon praised the film for its “hard-hitting themes regarding systemic failures and the safety of women.”

By its ninth day, the film had earned approximately ₹10 crore at the box office. The film, which explores the tension between institutional justice and personal vengeance following a brutal crime, has received praise for its lead performances despite its modest theatrical run. Daayra is preparing for its digital debut on Netflix, with an expected release window between October 30 and November 13.
