Karlos Arguiñano celebrates 78th birthday and discusses television future

Renowned Basque chef Karlos Arguiñano recently celebrated his 78th birthday. Despite his long career spanning nearly forty years, the television personality expressed his intention to continue hosting ‘Cocina abierta’ on Antena 3 for as long as his health permits, though he acknowledged that retirement may come around age 80 or 81.

In addition to his television presence, Arguiñano’s culinary influence is highlighted by his establishment, Bar Karlos Arguiñano, located in Zarautz. The venue offers a variety of pintxos and features a pastry corner managed by his son, Joseba Arguiñano, which specializes in artisanal breads, pastries, and chocolates.
