Dustin Hoffman, Juliette Binoche to be honoured at Karlovy Vary Film Festival

The 60th edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival runs from 3 to 11 July 2026, marking both the festival’s 60th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of its founding. Hollywood legends Dustin Hoffman and Juliette Binoche, cinematographer Robert Richardson and actor Jeffrey Wright will be recognised. Hoffman, a two‑time Oscar winner, receives a Crystal Globe for Outstanding Artistic Contribution and his breakthrough film The Graduate (1967) will be screened at the opening ceremony. Binoche will accept a Crystal Globe at the closing ceremony, with screenings of Certified Copy, Three Colors: Blue and her documentary In‑I in Motion. Richardson also receives a Crystal Globe; he will present the documentary portrait Robert Richardson: The White Devil. Wright is honoured with the President’s Award and will be featured in a screening of Basquiat.

Other announced President’s Award honorees include Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jesse Eisenberg and Magda Vášáryová. The festival program features over 130 feature‑length films, a special “KVIFF 60/80” exhibition tracing festival history, and a rich side programme – including the IQOS Lounge with concerts, talks and an art installation titled “World Without Smoke”.
