Karnataka BJP leader alleges corruption and criticizes Bengaluru urban management
Karnataka BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition, R. Ashok, has leveled serious allegations against the Congress government regarding both political conduct and urban management in Bengaluru.
Regarding political controversies, Ashok alleged that over 10 to 15 crore rupees were spent on a sting operation targeting former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He claimed the operation was funded using black money and demanded an FIR to identify the sponsors and financiers, rather than just those who circulated the videos.
Separately, Ashok criticized the state government's handling of Bengaluru's infrastructure following heavy monsoon rains. He reported severe waterlogging in underpasses, flooded commercial establishments, and significant traffic congestion. He further accused the administration of failing to manage waste, leading to garbage accumulation and foul odors across the city, arguing that the government's 'Brand Bengaluru' initiative has been reduced to mere advertisements while citizens face deteriorating living conditions.
