Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar to lead delegation to Centre on farmers' issues

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced plans to lead an all-party delegation to the Union Government to seek resolutions for farmers' issues. Shivakumar emphasized that the matter should not be politicized and noted that a memorandum has been prepared for submission to the Centre. He explained that the timing of the visit to Delhi depends on securing an appointment, following the Dasara festivities and Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations.

In response to these efforts, Karnataka BJP President B. Y. Vijayendra alleged that the Chief Minister’s position is under threat due to internal rebellion and growing dissent within the ruling Congress party. Vijayendra claimed that Shivakumar is blaming the Central Government out of desperation. While the BJP stated it has no intention of destabilizing the government and will remain in the opposition for the remaining term, the party is currently deliberating whether to join the state's all-party delegation to Delhi regarding sugarcane farmers.
