Karnataka targets global quantum hub with 2027 Bengaluru Summit

The Karnataka government aims to transform the 2027 ‘Quantum India Bengaluru Summit’ into a major global platform for quantum technology. Speaking at the 10th anniversary of QNu Labs and the launch of QShield 2.0, Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Ajay Singh emphasized the goal of connecting researchers, technology companies, startups, investors, and policymakers.

As part of this initiative, the state is working toward establishing a ‘Quantum City’ to integrate research, hardware, talent, and commercialization. This effort is supported by the 1,000 crore Karnataka Quantum Mission, which seeks to build a $20 billion quantum economy by 2035 by focusing on infrastructure, human resources, and global partnerships.
