Karnival Ban Canal 2026 to return to Sabak Bernam in November

The fourth edition of Karnival Ban Canal (KBC 2026) is scheduled to take place from November 6 to 8, 2026, in Sabak Bernam, Malaysia. Centered around the theme ‘Alam * Budaya * Lestari’ (Nature * Culture * Sustainability), the festival aims to promote the 30-kilometre British-era waterway as a premier eco-tourism and cultural destination.

Building on the 2025 festival, which drew over 32,000 visitors and generated RM100,000 in local revenue, the 2026 event features a mix of sporting and cultural activities. Highlights include Kanu Slalom with international participants from Japan and China, fishing competitions, Larian Bendang, wall climbing, and a flying fox over the historic canal.

The festival also serves as an economic platform for the local community, showcasing multicultural heritage through traditional performances, local food, and entrepreneur showcases such as Platform Selangor (PLATS) and Jualan Eko Tani.
