Karol G and Wayuu Taya Foundation launch relief efforts for earthquake victims

During her ‘Tropitour’ performance at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Colombian singer Karol G launched a relief fund to assist victims of recent earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia. Through her foundation, Con Cora, the artist has pledged to double every dollar donated by fans via QR codes at the venue. The funds are intended to support the reconstruction of homes in areas affected by seismic events on June 24 and August 10.

In Venezuela, the ‘Aspirinas para el alma’ project, led by the Wayuu Taya Foundation and Latin Grammy-winning flutist Huáscar Barradas, is providing psychosocial support to those displaced by earthquakes in La Guaira and Caracas. The initiative utilizes live music, traditional Venezuelan rhythms, and theater combined with specialized psychological care to help families process grief in temporary camps. The program is currently conducting fundraising efforts to purchase musical instruments and expand its therapeutic model.
