Earthquake relief efforts in Colombia and Venezuela

Overview

Following earthquakes in Colombia and Venezuela on June 24 and August 10, Colombian singer Karol G launched a relief fund through her foundation, Con Cora, during her ‘Tropitour’ performance at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. In Venezuela, the Wayuu Taya Foundation and flutist Huáscar Barradas are leading the ‘Aspirinas para el alma’ project, which provides psychosocial support to displaced families in La Guaira and Caracas using music and theater.

Singer-songwriter Elena Rose, who will join Karol G for the selected U.S. dates—including stops in Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, and Miami—also announced that proceeds from her meet-and-greet sessions will be donated to humanitarian organizations aiding earthquake-affected communities in Venezuela.
