Karoline Leavitt to join Fox News as on-air contributor
Former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will join Fox News as an on-air contributor starting November 1. The move follows her departure from the Trump administration, which she previously stated was intended to allow her more time with her family following maternity leave.
Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott noted that Leavitt’s direct experience in the White House and the presidential campaign provides her with a distinct understanding of the current political landscape. This transition follows a similar career path taken by former spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany in 2021.
The appointment comes amid public tension between Donald Trump and Fox News. Trump recently criticized the network on Truth Social, complaining that programs like ‘Fox & Friends Sunday’ failed to provide sufficient coverage of his recent rallies in states including Ohio, Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma. He suggested that the network’s focus on Democrats and critics of his administration could lead to a loss of viewers.
