Kars, Turkey finishes 4‑km asphalt road in Esenyayla village

On July 4, 2026, Kars Province completed a 4‑km Bituminous Hot Mix (BSK) asphalt pavement in Esenyayla village of Akyaka district. The work was carried out under the supervision of Governor Ziya Polat and with support from AK Party MP Adem Çalkın.

The project is part of the 2026 rural road improvement programme that has already finished three projects: a 2.5‑km BSK road in Porsuklu village of Susuz district, a 6.1‑km new BSK road in Melikköy village of Arpaçay district, and the Esenyayla section. Officials say the upgrades will make rural travel safer, more comfortable and support local development, with further works planned for the season.
