Turkish cities host several youth science and educational events in June 2026

Düzce University’s Science Café, organized with the university’s Science Communication Office, featured a presentation titled “The Brain’s Charger: Movement” by Associate Professor Pelin Hoşver. The event highlighted how physical activity can boost attention, memory and overall mental performance for students at TED Düzce College.

In Kütahya, police authorities carried out the ÇOGEP‑2026 “Our Steps Together, Our Future Safe” project, providing a motivational breakfast and introductory horse‑riding training for children. The activity aimed to strengthen social skills, confidence and police‑community trust while reducing youth crime risk.

Kartal municipality’s Science Festival brought together children and high‑school students for hands‑on workshops in robotics coding, artificial‑intelligence, planetary‑simulations and 3D design. Young participants showcased research‑and‑development projects, while experts led panels to foster analytical thinking and problem‑solving.

Later in the month, Düzce University will host the fourth Moon Scientific Working Group meeting, coordinated by TÜBİTAK’s Space Technologies Institute. The conference will gather academia, industry and government representatives to discuss lunar surface studies, regolith utilization, robotics and propulsion technologies as part of Turkey’s emerging lunar programme.
