Mahmut Arıkan calls for disclosure of alleged funding lists in Konya
Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan addressed the party's Central Districts Congress in Konya, where he demanded the disclosure of alleged funding lists. Arıkan claimed that reports suggest these lists include 60 AK Party deputies, 180 judicial members, and 30 governors and district governors. He stated that withholding these lists places innocent bureaucrats and officials under suspicion.
During his speech, Arıkan also criticized current agricultural policies, noting that despite Turkey's high production diversity, farmers face significant economic hardships. He specifically highlighted that the recent increase in sugar beet purchase prices fails to keep pace with inflation, leaving producers unable to cover their costs.
Arıkan further noted that Saadet Party has become the opposition party with the highest number of new member registrations in the last year. He presented the party's development plans, which include 41 master projects and over 100 satellite projects aimed at contributing 528 billion dollars to the national gross domestic product.
