Turkish municipal social center openings

Overview

Municipalities in Turkey have inaugurated new social life centers to provide community services. In Balıkesir, the Altıeylül Municipality opened the Altıeylül Life Center in Seyyid Ahmet Arvasi Park, featuring dining, laundry, and an Active Aging Center.

In Istanbul, the Kartal Neighborhood, Solidarity Square, and Social Life Center was opened through a collaboration between the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Kartal Municipality. This 23,500 square meter complex includes a semi-olympic swimming pool, a cultural center, a preschool, and training units for women and people with disabilities.

Regional developments continue with inspections of social and educational infrastructure. In Erzurum, Governor Aydın Baruş visited the Karaçoban district to observe vocational courses for women at the Family Support Center (ADEM), where 40 women are receiving training in traditional handicrafts, and to inspect youth educational facilities. In Konya, Karatay district officials, including District Governor Cengiz Ayhan and Mayor Hasan Kılca, inspected the construction of a new school in the İsmil Neighborhood supported by philanthropist Halil Çavdarcı.

Other local activities include political and community engagements, such as MHP officials discussing agricultural irrigation in Adana, a peace meeting between families in Adıyaman facilitated by Governor Abdullah Küçük, and infrastructure discussions by CHP Karaman Provincial Chairman Yusuf Baştuğ in Muratdede Village.
