Turkish sports clubs advance pre-season preparations and transfers

Turkish sports clubs are intensifying preparations for the upcoming seasons. In basketball, Karşıyaka has officially signed 33-year-old guard Briante Weber, a former NBA and EuroLeague player, to strengthen their defensive capabilities. Meanwhile, Denizli Basket has bolstered its frontcourt by signing 26-year-old Serbian forward Marko Pecarski.

Mersin Spor Kulübü (MSK) is also preparing for the 2026-2027 Turkish Basketball League season. Under head coach Burak Gören, the team is conducting high-intensity training sessions both in the Servet Tazegül Sports Hall and on the beaches of Mersin to build physical endurance. The club's stated goal is to secure championship and return to the Super League.

In football, Karşıyaka is conducting its pre-season camp at Topuk Yaylası. Technical director Burhanettin Basatemür noted that the team has largely maintained last year's squad while integrating talented young players to build a competitive side for the TFF 3. Lig.
