Karyna Shuliak, Epstein’s former girlfriend, may inherit $100 million after alleged sham marriage

Karyna Shuliak, a 37‑year‑old Belarusian dentist who was Jeffrey Epstein’s girlfriend and the last person he spoke to before his 2019 death, could inherit up to $100 million, including a 33‑carat diamond ring, from the financier’s estate.

Department of Justice emails released in 2024 show Epstein arranged a sham same‑sex marriage for Shuliak in October 2013 with a 30‑year‑old Minnesotan assistant to secure her a green card after her student visa expired. The marriage was described by a House Oversight Committee report as “illusory” and was used to obtain permanent residency; her citizenship was granted in May 2018 and the couple divorced the following year.

Shuliak later graduated from Columbia University’s dentistry program in 2015 and worked briefly in a Brooklyn clinic. She has not been identified as a victim in the Epstein sex‑trafficking case, and federal authorities have not pursued any legal action against her citizenship.
