U.S. Department of Justice records released in 2024 show that Karyna Shuliak, a Belarus‑born dentist who was Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime companion, could inherit as much as $100 million from his estate, including a 33‑carat diamond ring. The files document that Epstein transferred nearly $1 million to Shuliak, paid money to her parents, funded her dental education, and arranged a marriage in 2013 that secured her U.S. permanent residency and later citizenship.

A House Oversight Committee report later characterized the 2013 marriage as an “illusory” same‑sex union used to obtain a green card after her student visa expired. Shuliak graduated from Columbia University’s dentistry program in 2015 and has worked part‑time at a Brooklyn clinic. Federal authorities have not classified her as a victim or co‑conspirator in Epstein’s sex‑trafficking case, and no legal action has been taken regarding her citizenship or the inheritance.
