Karystianou threatens legal action over party allegations

Maria Karystianou, president of the political movement "Elpida gia tin Dimokratia," has threatened legal action against individuals making what she describes as "highly offensive allegations" against the party without providing supporting arguments.

Addressing recent internal friction, Karystianou responded to the departure of Kostas Ntoudoulakis, who had criticized the leadership as "authoritarian and personalistic." Karystianou dismissed his claims, stating she will not succumb to "blackmail" regarding party departures.

She also addressed allegations made by Thanasis Avgerinos, stating she expects him to provide evidence for his claims of an internal "provocation." Karystianou characterized the recent criticisms as attempts to manipulate the party leadership because they are women, asserting that the movement has been unified by these challenges rather than weakened.
