Kashmiri Pandit employees seek enhanced security following fresh threats

The All PM Package Employees Forum Kashmir has requested enhanced security for migrant Kashmiri Pandit employees working in the Kashmir Valley following the emergence of fresh threats on social media. The forum addressed a letter to the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary citing a purported threat poster issued by an outfit calling itself the United Liberation Council (ULC).

The poster, reportedly dated August 23, allegedly contains sensitive personal information, including names, addresses, and vehicle numbers of specific individuals. While the forum noted that the authenticity of the poster has not yet been verified by police or security agencies, it expressed grave concern over the repeated circulation of such threats.

Congress leader Pawan Khera criticized the central government, stating that the incident exposes flaws in the government’s Kashmir policy. He noted that the threats contradict expectations regarding the resettlement of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the region.
