Kastamonu celebrates 51 students completing Quran memorization

In the Seydiler district of Kastamonu, a ceremony was held to celebrate 51 students who successfully completed their hafiz (Quran memorization) training at the Seydiler Seyid Zülfikar Vakfı M. Naim Karaman Hafızlık Proje İmam Hatip Ortaokulu. The school operates under a protocol between the Ministry of National Education and the Presidency of Religious Affairs, combining religious memorization with formal academic education.

The celebration included a large convoy of over 200 vehicles traveling from the Kastamonu city center to the Hz. Pir Şeyh Şab’an-ı Veli Hazretleri Külliyesi, where the students offered prayers. A formal ceremony was also held at the Seydiler Indoor Sports Hall, attended by local officials including Kastamonu Governor Meftun Dallı, members of parliament, and representatives from the Presidency of Religious Affairs.

During the event, Governor Dallı emphasized the historical and religious importance of hafiz, noting their role in preserving the Quran. Sinan Kazancı, General Manager of Human Resources at the Presidency of Religious Affairs, praised the students' perseverance and encouraged them to reflect the teachings of the Quran in their character and daily lives.
