Kastamonu minibus accident kills 18-year-old worker
An 18-year-old worker, İsmail Korkmaz, died after a minibus carrying workers lost control and rolled approximately 100 meters down a ravine in the Çatalzeytin district of Kastamonu, Turkey.
The accident occurred on the Çatalzeytin-Kastamonu highway near Karamanlar village. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road. While the minibus was caught by trees and prevented from rolling further down, the impact resulted in the death of Korkmaz, who was originally from Van.
Four other individuals, including the driver, were injured and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. One victim is reported to be in critical condition. Local authorities, including the gendarmerie and a public prosecutor, have launched an investigation into the incident.
