Katja Kokot defends party mandates and criticizes RTV Slovenija funding

Katja Kokot, leader of the Resnička parliamentary group in Slovenia, has addressed several political challenges, including the party's mandate status and criticisms regarding her communication style. Kokot stated that the party intends to maintain its five national mandates and defended the participation of MP Boris Mijič in the National Assembly. She also claimed to have received instructions from certain journalists on how to discredit her party.

Separately, Kokot has voiced strong criticism against the liquidity issues facing Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV). She argued that taxpayers are being forced to fund a public broadcaster that faces significant financial difficulties despite projected revenues of 163 million euros. Kokot called for a reduction in the scope and financing of the public broadcaster, characterizing the current system as one where workers' taxes support programs they do not wish to fund.
