She accused journalists of attempting to shape a negative image of her through selective reporting on her personal life and professional history.

By August 2026, Kokot expanded her criticisms to include the financial management of the public broadcaster, Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV). She argued against the current funding model, claiming taxpayers are forced to support a broadcaster facing liquidity issues despite significant projected revenues.
