KATSEYE member Sophia Laforteza to miss European tour leg

Sophia Laforteza, a member of the global girl group KATSEYE, will not participate in the European and UK legs of the group’s “THE WILDWORLD TOUR,” which runs from September 1 to September 17.

Management agencies HYBE and Geffen Records announced that the decision was made to prioritize the singer’s mental health and long-term well-being. Laforteza has been on a temporary hiatus since early August following medical advice to take an extended period of rest.

During this tour segment, the group will perform with four members: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeung. This follows a similar hiatus by fellow member Manon Bannerman earlier this year. The agencies stated they are committed to providing all necessary support and resources for Laforteza’s recovery and will provide further updates as they become available.
