Katsina Minister Launches Grassroots Group to Back Tinubu and Dikko

Alhaji Muttaqa Rabe‑Darma, Nigeria's Minister of Housing and Urban Development, inaugurated the Grassroots Mobilisation for Tinubu and Dikko (GMTD) in Katsina. The new platform aims to strengthen grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu and Giv. Dikko Umaru Radda ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The ceremony drew APC officials, youth leaders, women’s groups and other political stakeholders, who were urged to unite and expand the party’s reach across communities.

Rabe‑Darma pledged full cooperation with GMTD’s leadership, promising to assist activities that promote unity and political development. GMTD chairman Abubakar Soja‑Tsanni praised the minister as his political mentor, while Federal Constituency representative Usman Banye highlighted the role of such groups in voter education and mobilisation. The initiative also announced support for 700 small‑scale businesses in the state.
