Katy Inzer arrested for alleged sexual misconduct on American Airlines flight

Katy Inzer, 46, was arrested following allegations of sexual misconduct during an American Airlines flight from Baltimore to Miami on September 11. According to an incident report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, a passenger reported to a flight attendant that Inzer had “remove(d) her pants and began to actively masturbate while making inappropriate sounds.”

Upon being approached by staff, Inzer reportedly replaced her clothing and slept for the rest of the flight. Law enforcement noted she appeared to have a “strong odor of alcohol [sic] beverage and bloodshot eyes” when encountered in Florida. Inzer told officers she did not remember the incident due to sleep.

The case has been forwarded to the FBI to determine jurisdiction. This incident follows a broader trend of reported misconduct in aviation; the FBI noted it investigated 104 incidents of sexual assault and misconduct on commercial aircraft in 2024.
